In recent years, with the increasing awareness of anti-terrorism and anti-riot in all sectors of society, anti-collision rising bollards have been widely used. Rising bollards can be seen everywhere such as schools, factories, governments, troops, and hospitals. What are the advantages of hydraulic rising bollards compared to other types of rising bollards?
In terms of the driving form, the types of fully automatic rising bollards on the market are nothing more than three types: hydraulic rising bollards, electric rising bollards and pneumatic rising bollards. From the aspect of procurement costs, hydraulic rising bollards are slightly more expensive than electric rising bollards and pneumatic rising bollards, but hydraulic rising bollards are still the final choice of most customers. The following is a detailed explanation of the differences among the three types of driving forms of the fully automatic rising bollards.
1. Hydraulic rising bollards
The synchronism of the rising speed is very good, the waterproofness reaches IP68, and it can work directly in the water. The rising frequency can be very high, and the rising speed is fast, generally between 2-4 seconds. It has smooth operation, long service life, low noise, and it also has high cold resistance which makes it work normally under extreme cold conditions of -45℃. Its rising force exceeds 1000 kg, its installation and commissioning are relatively convenient and so is its after-sales maintenance, and its maintenance costs are low.
2. Pneumatic rising bollards
Pneumatic rising bollards have the characteristics of fast response, but because one air pump station needs to drive several rising bollards, its driving force will be greatly reduced. Taking 8 rising bollards as an example, the rising speed will be reduced to more than 5 seconds. The waterproof performance is good, but the construction process is very complex. Each rising bollard needs a separate air pipe, which is easy to leak after long-term use, so its service life is short and the rising force is weak. And it is not suitable for high-frequency use. The rising speed is inconsistent and the cost is high. It needs to be equipped with a high-pressure air compressor, which is noisy and difficult to maintain after sales. The main reason why manufacturers have eliminated pneumatic rising bollards is that the maintenance cost is very high.
3. Electric rising bollards
The production and procurement cost is relatively low, the construction process is relatively convenient, and the raising and lowering speed is relatively slow, which takes 8-12 seconds. The waterproof performance of the product itself is relatively poor, and it needs to be fully sealed. The equipment will be difficult to repair once water enters into it. Because the voltage is controlled at 24V, the rising weight is relatively light, and only about 30-50 kg of weight can be lifted. The service life is short, and the lifting synchronization is relatively poor. Because it is restricted by the voltage of 24V, it is inferior to the hydraulic rising bollard in all performance indicators.
The indicators of hydraulic rising bollards are significantly better than those of electric rising bollards and pneumatic rising bollards. In addition, the hydraulic drive form is more mature than other drive forms, and it has lower equipment operation and management costs and longer life. From the economic point of view, although the price of electric rising bollards and pneumatic rising bollards may be low when they are purchased, but problems of repair, aintenance or other continuous problems later makes the maintenance costs high and people will feel troublesome. For various reasons, it is not difficult for us to consider why most customers will eventually choose hydraulic rising bollards.
